With the evolution of technology and the rising diversity of television channels on the market, BCE playout solutions cover the complete scope of services, from dedicated playout to fully automated internet playout solutions.

 Television workflow - the playout

Playout control rooms:

Flexibility and expandability

In the heart of Europe, BCE’s playout centre covers mainly Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg with 5 dedicated final control rooms and a 12 channel multi-playout platform (8 slots are actually used).
With its engineering experts, BCE can also configure more space in-house as well as install state-of-the-art solutions at the customer’s premises.

Dedicated or multi-playout

Depending on the requirements of the station, the playout will be done via dedicated or multi-channel control rooms.
While dedicated solutions are mainly used for general television stations handling a wide range of contents and working with live programs, multi-playout is used for thematic channels or catch-up channels with few live events.

Continuity and monitoring:

Security

To ensure our customers' operations continuity, BCE has secured all the critical points of the infrastructure. BCE’s playout servers, fibre links and satellite connections are redundant; in case of incident the workflow switches automatically giving a seamless experience to viewers.
For channels using our dedicated playout services, a spare control room is available to take the lead if necessary.

The Network Operations Centre (NOC)

Keeping an eye on all the connections, program delivery, signals and transmitters, BCE's experts at the NOC monitor all the installations from BCE and our customers 24 hours a day. The NOC has a powerful interface with automatic alerts, with a controlling console giving BCE the ability to solve almost every problem remotely.
