A large number of well-known television channels have selected BCE as their exclusive technical partner for programme broadcasting, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
BCE was the first operational European playout platform based on a full digital workflow. BCE has the know-how to provide you with a complete and integrated bundle of services to get your channel to air with full confidence, in smoothly mixing and inter-operating IT, telecom and technical components.
The BCE broadcasting centre mainly covers Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg. There are 5 broadcast playouts which are each dedicated to one channel as well as a multicast room which handles a set of 12 channels. Our engineering team
has designed and built this infrastructure and is able to set up leading-edge technology platforms.

With our highly committed teams, the dedicated broadcast
playouts (RTL Belgium, RTL Nederland, etc…) deliver a top of the line service to generalist channels.
The thematic channels (RTL9, PLUG, Lounge, Chamber TV…) have been integrated into our multicast platform, which allows us to reduce costs while maintaining an optimised service level.
BCE has developed a decentralised solution
(DPlayout) that allows distribution of content both in SD and / or HD standard (AIR, Libido TV, Alpha TV, etc ...) via an internet server connected to a digital archive. This structure can also serve as a recovery solution
to any other customer.
To ensure continuity of
the broadcast operations of the different channels, BCE's possesses a monitoring centre that controls the activities in real time, providing detailed reports and remote resolution of incidents.
On top of that, BCE grants its broadcast customers access to its European Media Hub
with many services ranging from postproduction, digitisation
and digital archiving to broadcast continuity and IT services.
