BCE at IBC 2006 September, 8th to 12th 2006 - Together with its partner, Preview GM Systems , BCE has been actively present at the last IBC in Amsterdam. BCE was "heavily" represented with its brand-new HD OB Van, built specifically for BCE by Preview GM Systems, and fully operational for some months now. BCE has also taken the opportunity of this world renown Media exhibition to launch the latest version of its News))Link system. News))link is a fast reliable easy-to-operate software, which allows reporters on the field to communicate in a cost efficient way with their central newsdesk to transfer videos in "broadcast" quality. News))link was recently used with success by M6, the famous French private TV channel, to transfer video footage during the last Soccer World Cup in Germany. Demonstrations of News))link have attracted a lot of IBC visitors and journalists from all over the world to the BCE booth, where they could  see real time demos, based on a Portable PC + DV Cam or even, with hand-help "camera phones" connected to their home newsdesk via UMTS lines. IBC has allowed BCE to demonstrate again all its range of services , from production to playout, from mass transfers to deep archiving, from channel management applications to telecom infrastructures. Furthermore, sun was shining all the week in Amsterdam, which made the "BCE Happy hour" another strong succes among guests !
