You will be provided with a wide choice of solutions in the fields of digital media logistics (digitization, transfers, archiving, storage); signal encoding and multiplexing; distribution via satellite (SES Astra, Eutelsat), cable or terrestrial broadcasting (analog and digital), Internet with our DPlayout service. Thanks to close relationships with the Authorities in Luxemburg, BCE can offer precious help with all administrative steps, such as the request for a broadcast licence or obtaining financial subsidies from the Luxemburg Media Services. Its long media experience allows BCE to work very fast to implement the solution you want for your new media : for instance, a thematic channel can be integrated in our playout platform and fully managed within our broadcast infrastructure in less than 2 weeks.
The first step in enhancing your content's value is to transform it into a degradation-free digital format. Since 2000, BCE has built up a powerful digitization platform, with a yearly capacity of 50.000 hours of video and audio archives.
BCE provides digitizing services to many TV channels but also to archive holders such as the Centre National de l’Audiovisuel in Luxembourg or the European Parliament in Brussels. BCE is the right partner to ensure the fastest digitization of your data with the best quality, making sure that your archives are forever.
BCE has a unique and long expertise in transmission consulting, planning and set up of transmitters operations. Among the transmitters directly operated by BCE, there are high-power AM transmitters in Beidweiler, Junglinster and Marnach. FM transmitters in Hosingen and Dudelange. BCE is therefore remarkably well positioned to offer broadcasting solutions for Radio and TV programs towards numerous European countries.
Currently, BCE broadcasts the radio programmes of RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg (first FM radio station in Luxemburg with a market share of 75%), RTL Radio France Long Wave (leader in the French general audience radio category), RTL Radio-Die besten hits aller zeiten (Germany), Radio Socio Culturelle 100,7 FM (from Luxemburg), as well as various other private programs. BCE has always been at the forefront of new terrestrial transmission technologies. This explains why BCE now operates one of the first European DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale) transmissions, out of Junglinster, for the coverage of France with the RTL Radio French programme transmission, as well as transmissions towards the UK and Germany. BCE is also closely associated to all activities pertaining to the development of Digital radio in Europe.
