BCE announces : NEWS))LINK September 2006 - BCE announces the release of the last version of the new Video-transfer solution: NEWS))LINK. NEWS))LINK is a tailor-made video transfer solution for journalists and reporters “in-the-field”. With NEWS))LINK, a laptop, a simple UMTS card  and a standard DV-camera, video-footage can be recorded, cut and sent out directly at high speed via the selected telecommunication networks to the central newsrooms within minutes, reducing the time-to-air significantly, without being overloaded with expensive and difficult-to-use equipment. This new technology has been developed in close cooperation with ENEX (European News Exchange) and tested successfully by M6 journalists at the "Festival de Cannes" and at the World Cup in Germany.
