Along with high speed access to the archives and massive storage capacity, the system also offers high security features for the data, comparable to what the banking industry requires. The security is both physical (restricted access to the storage vault, 24/7 surveillance) and electronic (total mirroring of the content, user and password identification).

The current storage capacity amounts to approximately 1 million hours of programmes, digitized with high quality 10 Mbits/sec data rate. This vast storage capacity translates into a very competitive cost per hour of archive for your programmes, while preserving them with the utmost quality. Digital assets are managed by the DIVA© software, ensuring at all times maximum storage capacity and fast retrieval time.

Your content is totally safe, because 2 complete digital archiving systems operate as a mirror of one another. For the ultimate in data protection, both systems are hosted in dedicated well-equipped buildings located several kilometers apart. All files are stored in special data cartridges, with capacities of 4 to 40 hours of programmes.

The fully redundant BCE local network allows transfer of the requested files to the play-out servers at the high speed of 8x real time. Client remote access to the stored data is fully secured through a firewall and personal identification of requests is necessary , via user name and password. Physical access to the archive vaults is highly secured with 24/7 staffing by security agents, video surveillance and a guarded perimeter. The archives are protected by a sophisticated fire detection network with Argonite extinguishing systems. Finally, a totally redundant electrical power system allows stand-alone operations for a duration of 3 weeks without main power.
