More coverage for L’essentiel Radio

The french speaking radio of Luxembourg, with the technological support of BCE, has put into operation the 103.4 frequency, strengthening its coverage in the country.

Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE), a European leader in media services, system integration and software development in the areas of television, radio, production and postproduction, telecommunication and IT, has installed a new transmitter and put into operation the 103.4 frequency for “L’essentiel Radio”.

“Our experience in both radio operations and integration allows us to answer perfectly to the needs of L’essentiel Radio with tailored made services and a high level of expertise in the fields of radio installation as well as transmissions” comments Vincent Demarque, Project engineer at BCE.

Since 2016, BCE supports the french speaking radio with the integration of its studios, transmitters, and antennas. “L’essentiel Radio” has increased its country coverage with the launch of new frequencies in Rambrouch, Junglinster, Ettelbruck and Remich.

This latest addition, installed in Blaschette, allows the radio coverage to reach 100% of the country. As a result, the national radio is available on the following frequencies:

  • 107.7 FM
  • 105.6 FM
  • 104.2 FM
  • 103.4 FM
  • 97.5 FM
  • 95.6 FM
  • 94.3 FM

“We are glad to support L’essentiel Radio since 2016, the radio has enriched its offer and delivers today high-quality programs at a national level,” adds Eugène Muller Head of Transmissions at BCE. “We will continue to assist the radio in its future media development in order to enhance its footprint and program continuity”.

The next step for “L’essentiel Radio” will be the testing of the DAB+ platform, in which BCE has been working during the first semester of 2020.

“BCE and Vincent Demarque have been supporting us in our project since the launch of L’essentiel Radio in February 2016. We appreciate the professionalism, commitment and responsiveness of our technical partner which has allowed us to significantly improve our coverage in Luxembourg. We are also very pleased to be able to conduct the DAB test hand in hand with BCE.” Concludes Emmanuel Fleig, Manager at L’essentiel Radio.
