The Bridge Forum Dialogue relies on BCE for live streaming

For its latest event titled “EU foreign policy – Highs and lows! Lessons from the past”, The Bridge Forum Dialogue selected Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) for the live production and live streaming of the event.

The Bridge Forum Dialogue a.s.b.l. (www.forum-dialogue.lu), in cooperation with the College of Europe Alumni – Luxembourg Regional Group, organised on 2 March 2021 a conference (video format) under the chairmanship of Mr Klaus-Heiner LEHNE, President of the European Court of Auditors.

Mr Lehne welcomed the speaker, Mrs Federica Mogherini, Rector of the College of Europe, former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (EEAS) and Vice-President of the European Commission (2014-2019). As the EU’s chief diplomat, she was then the face of Europe in the world during challenging times for its foreign affairs.

Mr Kris PEETERS, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), replacing President Werner Hoyer, paid tribute to the College of Europe, in Bruges, Alma Mater of many EU Officials. He reminded the audience of the outstanding role Mrs Mogherini had in external affairs, explained the commitment of the EIB to the EU’s external role, underpinned by a lending figure last year of over 9 billion euros outside the EU.

Mrs MOGHERINI, in her personal capacity, shared thoughts and insights from her experience as the head of the Union foreign affairs and security policy, looking back at some of the historical achievements over her five-year mandate, including EU defense, Iran nuclear deal, climate action.

BCE, a European leader in media services, system integration and software development, created the design of the live streaming web page, including an online form for live questions, an agenda of the event and the logos of the members of The Bridge Forum Dialogue. Thanks to the online form, the conference was followed by a Q&A session.

The Bridge Forum Dialogue used the existing Chamber of Commerce studio installed by BCE. The studio was customized to the customer branding as well as the live streaming graphics. BCE production team was on site to oversee the two locations event, as a matter of fact the stream was connecting in live Mr Lehne and Mr Kris PEETERS located in the main studio with Mrs MOGHERINI on a remote location.

While BCE ensured the seamless interactivity between the participants, both in question of audio and video quality, Freecaster, a subsidiary of BCE, ensured the high-end live streaming of the event. With the live to VOD (video on demand) feature, the replay of the event was immediately available after the live conference.

“Our live streaming services feature numerous options to enhance your connected event. We are glad to continue to work with The Bridge Forum Dialogue. Our production and video expertise combined to our rock-solid platform and high-quality production means allow the delivery of seamless hybrid experiences.” Concludes Xavier Thillen, Head of Production & Digital Media Operations at BCE.
