System integration

BCE managed to emphasize its expertise in the accomplishment of the works and the management
of the relationships with third parties.

We had a gradual approach to change the production line before we started broadcasting. This allowed us to take control of the tools as they were deployed. It was supposed to be done in the first half of the year, but we accelerated to achieve everything in the first month of the year. In terms of methodology, all the integration took place on site, whereas usually integration is done at BCE, and then the material is sent to the site. There has been a great reaction from the Antenne Réunion teams and partners to move quickly in setting up the new workflow.

The channel is now equipped with a platform that has two major assets.
On the one hand, the technological breakthrough of high definition using files as a working base and, on the other hand, the unique aspect of our workflow with the work on the shared servers and the use of a
non-flat file format for an easier work with the audio.

Euronews has been working with BCE for several years now and our cooperation has always been fruitful. Their participation in the creation of our new Hungarian office was an evidence after the successful opening of our Greek office in Athens. BCE knows our needs and we are entirely satisfied of their technical skills and know-how.

The relationships with the team of engineers in charge of the project were excellent.
As for other projects we had with BCE, including the replacement of four editing rooms for the European Parliament in Strasbourg, they showed an outstanding professionalism and a high availability.

Everything was done in a close relationship and great involvement of the teaching team. If we had not had the close partnership with BCE, we would not have been able to come up with such a result.

Thanks to the new infrastructure the archivists time schedule is optimized and their work is more precise with the efficient content indexation.

BCE’s expertise was a real asset for the success of this transition to a file-based production environment. They gave us smart advice for our development and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership in the near future.

The training of our people was very useful, to adopt that skills and way of working is a big advantage for Nova TV.

For us this project is essentially three elements, a very innovative project in this radio company, which had to integrate the requirements of television, secondly a quite unique project since it is the first time that we combine the flexibility of radio to the industrial side television in a partnership and thirdly an impossible bet since the deadlines were impossible.

The technology installed in Nova TV gives a lot of opportunities to the creative team of the television channel and this is a big premise for a step forward on the market in Bulgaria.
